The growth of BACRIM: a threat to the Colombian State
Abstract
Criminal gangs are a new strategy of drug trafficking, which diversifies in order to maintain the dynamics of the business, which is harmful to the world, society, and the country in general. The achievements obtained by the legitimately constituted military forces are excellent, the rewards paid to informants, the citizen collaboration, the awareness of the denunciation, and the support of neighboring countries to not harbor and, on the contrary, capture leaders of these gangs are significant achievements that keep these criminal structures uneasy and submerged in fear and anxiety.
